A six-month engagement. Two distinct phases. One unified brand narrative.
Leap was commissioned by NTU’s Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre to design the full communications suite for ideasinc 2016 — from the public call-for-entries campaign through to the #startingUP2016 event weekend. The challenge was not just visual consistency but tonal versatility: the same brand had to inspire aspiring founders to submit their ideas, then energise participants through a 30-hour hackathon, a startup conference, and a demo showcase.
Phase one established the visual foundation — a bold red identity anchored by a bespoke lightbulb illustration, deployed across large outdoor banners, digital mailers, and promotional posters. Phase two reinterpreted the language for the event itself, introducing a blueprint aesthetic with technical rocket illustrations — purposeful, kinetic, and campaign-fresh.
The deliverables spanned the full event ecosystem: outdoor banners, EDMs, event posters, pull-up banners, directional signage, and participant lanyards. Design that didn’t just announce an event — it became part of the experience.
