Gryphon Tea Company is no stranger to considered design. What the Mémoire du Voyage collection called for, however, was something far more ambitious — an entirely new visual language that could carry the weight of Asian heritage while speaking to a cosmopolitan, gift-conscious audience.

The concept drew on the rich textile traditions of the region: Chinese toile, Peranakan batik, Malay songket, and brocade motifs — each pattern mapped to a flavour, each flavour named in the romance of French. The bold label band, anchored in a distinct colour per variant, provided the commercial clarity the retail shelf demands without diminishing the artisanal spirit of the design.

More than packaging, Mémoire du Voyage became a collector’s object — something you reach for not just because of what’s inside, but because of what it represents. A journey, a memory, a piece of a culture.
