Project Detail
Some reports inform. This one was designed to move.
Leap was commissioned to produce the full 2015 Annual Report for VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, coinciding with the organisation’s tenth anniversary. The engagement covered concept development, design, copywriting, photography, interviews, and print production — a full editorial mandate for a publication that needed to do considerable work: report, inspire, acknowledge, and move.
The visual language drew from the idea of small, persistent progress. Overlapping circles — bubbles of hope, cells of life — became the design system’s spine. The colour palette was deliberately warm: blues that comfort rather than intimidate, yellows that carry the energy of childhood rather than caution.
At its core, the report was built around ten stories. Not statistics — people. A teenage survivor. A researcher who relocated her life for the cause. Volunteers who gave what they had. Each story was given space: full portraiture, considered typography, and copy written to feel personal rather than institutional.
Because at the end of every milestone, it is people who make the numbers matter.
